On the wave of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, 2009 saw the hurricane hit the entire global economy and it certainly did not spare the paper industry. The result has been an unprecedented decline in world graphic paper demand, with cyclical problems adding to structural decline, especially in mature markets.
