FOEX Indexes Ltd is a private, independent company, specialised in operating as a provider of audited, trade-mark registered pulp, paper and recovered paper price indexes. FOEX Indexes Ltd is continuing the index publishing activity started by Finnish Options Exchange in 1996.

Several financial institutions already use FOEX PIX Indexes as benchmark prices for SWAP-deals and other financial hedging instruments against product price risks.
FOEX also provides up-to-date information, such as price history of pulp and paper grades, inventory development, capacity changes and other market data which may have a bearing on the future price development.
In addition to the current weekly PIX Pulp, Paper and Paperboard price indices, FOEX is developing new market price indices for solid wood based biomass products. The newest index, the PIX Pellet Nordic CIF, is collected and published on a monthly basis on the industrial use of pellets. This index was launched in November 2009 to serve the forest products industry, the banking community and energy-companies as an independent benchmark for market price movements. |
